dumpling attempt #1 (shumai)
This was an attempt. I LOVE shumai, and really want to figure out how to make them properly. At my friend Erika’s bridal shower, they served them on top of lemons. SO freaking good.
Without a proper steamer, or the right type of wrappers (damn you, Food Emporium, for your over-priced minimal selection), my attempt didn’t work out so well. They tasted good, but not great, and basically fell apart. Trying out this recipe next.
I’m posting this so I can document all of my dumpling attempts… so when I finally get it right, I can write a really triumphant post. Get excited.
