Growing up my mother spent her summers in a cabin on Mooselookmeguntic Lake in Oquossoc, Maine. And as a child, so did I. I’m not sure when exactly we stopped going, but in 2011 we went back for the first time in at least ten years. There is a simplicity to life up there that forces you to relax… that, and the fact that it is literally the iPhone dead zone. It takes 15 minutes to get into the little town that consists of a convenience store, farmer’s market, two restaurants, a post office and a kayak rental. Rangeley, the “big” town, is another 15 minutes after that. I love it up there. And, it’s Sophie Lily’s favorite place in the world.
